Our vision is to advance cutting-edge sports-specific research, educate current and future sports professionals, enhance the physical and emotional well-being of current and former athletes, and harness the transformative power of sports to drive positive social change.

The Center for Sport is built on four pillars - research, education, service, and community outreach. Our belief in the power of sport to effect change is most evident through community outreach. Athletes, in todays media-focused world, wield unparalleled influence, which gives them a unique ability to impact public attitudes and actions positively. By directing this power towards public service, we can transform individual lives and foster large-scale social change. Our distinctive approach lies in the multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary collaboration among university professionals from all corners of campus, who work together to advance research, education, and community service.
